Not too optimistic about eTicket. Opal Card has just been launched and will be rolled out everywhere, and there is Visa PayWave, plus mobile phone payment apps from CBA and WBC. If HK or Spore is anything to go by, I think eventually the transport smartcards such as Opal and Myki will be the main player in small value transactions.

I will have a closer look as soon as I finish all the backlog piling up on my desk.
