I have a baby on formula stage one (not bubs or a2m or bel)
Anyways we tried to change her from xx to blackmores
She didn't drink as much and would vomit ect
So with regards to the change in bubs formula formulation
I think if a baby is use to one thing a change will be noted and rejected
So if new mothers try the new formulation as the first formula tried it probably won't be rejected by most babies and therefore no problems
It's just the change after the baby gets use to it that's the problem
