CFD's are just normal trading really. All the usual indicators, patterns apply, it is just a different way of funding your trading.
IG markets have a demo account where you can pretend trade for a month. This is good to experiment with trade size and see how much you can win or lose. It allows you to trade shares from all round the world, and share indices. These can be $1 per point. Others like DAX are 1 Euro/point. They call it Germany 30.
