Hi All,

A question was asked by a member who I can't recall and the gist was is MPL effective for Omicron versus Delta. I have been pondering that for some time and believe I have an answer.

It has been difficult to date to gain reliable information on Omicron !

Now, a " year " ago we had very good efficacy in MPL V Wuhan Virus at WEHi and 360 Labs . The drug was transferred to Leiden where it was not seen to have the same efficacy on the Delta strain.

I have stated possibly over a year ago that our target organ was the Pseudo Stratified Epithelium cells ( Upper airway ). The Delta virus replicated better in the Columnar cells in the lower airway. I gave explanations then on why that worked and why MPL "didn't".

So what's happened with Omicron. Well this variant replicates rapidly in the Pseudo Stratified Epithelium by a factor of 70 times compared to Delta.

If you have a chance watch YouTube Dr John Campbell . First Omicron Science dated 9 hours ago. I find his series correct in detail.

This will explain why MPL worked, then didn't , now it will work again.

The science is fascinating and is in lay person terms.
