There will be the ignorant and easily spooked mums and dads who will sell following a death during the trials, no doubt. But the grownups in the room (Instos and BP) look deeper, at the actual science. They know MPL is not a cure for MND, but rather a treatment that 'only' extends life expectancy by 3-5 years! Three to five years increased life expectancy!

When Instos & BP looks at the minimal life expectancy offered by drugs such as Riluzole (2-3 months) and Relyvrio (now pulled from market as so useless with no extended life expectancy), yet the hundreds of millions these drugs were pulling in, I don't think they're going to be spooked by a few patients passing. This is an inevitability, but the majority of patients surviving is what's more important! Most patients will take the chance they will get the extended expectancy!
