    I guess you could ask the same question as to why all these companies below entered into a lucrative partnership deal before their results were in and their worth increased. It happens for all sorts of reasons but largely it simply takes a lot of risk off the table for shareholders. That said, from what I gather, MT & PAA won't be selling out cheap. PAA will have the funds to see the Healy Trial through. If there is a BP prepared to pay a significant premium at this point for the blockbuster drug that MPL is going to be, then they might consider selling. Directors and management haven't recently tipped in nearly $1m of their own hard-earned, on top of their allocated shares & options, because they think this is a high risk play! One could easily say go away and come back in 12-24 months to collect your money, but it's entertaining here in the threads.
