That's the way I see it too QQ. The Neurofilament light chain test appears to be a test which can forewarn of a number of neurological problems where brain cell death is occurring. The test can show that there is a problem occuring even though the underlying issue has not be diagnosed yet. This includes MND, PD, Dementia and many others. They also want to make this a standard test offered by GPs. So imagine the future where getting a bad result at the GP with this routine blood test. The doctor says, "well something is going wrong so we'll get you on MPL straight away while we work out what's actually the issue"
Getting ahead of myself again, let's wait for those results first. But IMO yes, it's a biggie!
