Why would you say "No way to run an efficient open pit operation"? How many have you run?
Not being silly - a straight out question.
In my opinion, mining is dictated by the ore body and narrow veins require narrow mining which uses smaller gear.
The whole issue here is the reconciliation against the model which appears to be poor and likely due to nugget effect, not the way it is being mined.
I have known pits that were well into the top of the ore with much lower reconciliation than this and have come out OK
All we can do is wait and see what Brett and the rest can do
