Nice article Algen. They will never stop fishing the tuna. Too many self interests involved, like everything else that is harmful to the environment.

CSS has already proven that they can hatch Tuna eggs into fingerlings. Already proved that they can move them to sea pens and they survived. It was just the water temp that is the issue. As soon as they tie up a partner in Indo, which i'm sure will happen, this stock is gold.

Even without that, it will move on the king fish alone. In the last couple of months I have eaten at a bunch of the good restaurants in Sydney and almost every good restaurant is now substituting salmon with YTK or adding king to the menu. I have eaten it mostly as ceviche, some sashimi and a couple of times as Fish steaks grilled. It is a killer fish to eat and is finding its way onto the menu in a lot of the good local restaurants. I'm thinking that YTK could become the farmed fish of choice over salmon eventually. Check what has happened to Tassel over the years, this should be a similar if not better story.
