    Today's AFR claims Packer is "running the numbers on a privatisation" of Crown.

    "The stock closed at $9.21 yesterday and it's thought that a deal would be pitched above the $12 mark despite the average analyst target price of $13.57."

    True or not, it could give the sp a much-needed boost.
