There is no way the the above mentioned 3 are long at 70c they all initially paid 1.50+ . The rights issue was not a 1:1. Their average is more like 1.21 and Bruce Gordon of Win with 14% is closer to $2.00.
I think a buyout is unlikely by these parties but more likely by News Limited post the completion of Cons media acquisition.
Ten is a roaring buy IMHO, minimal to no debt and a balance sheet that can take the NRL rights and then watch the ratings and earnings take off.
60% of the company is owned by 5 companies. Also remember perpetual initially sold Packer his stake in Ten in the begining. Perpetual increased to 13% last week. Wonder who will buy out their stake?
