Packer snaps up another 3% of Crown, page-3

im of course not going to pretend im smarter thann JP as he is a billionaire and im not, but why the hell would he buy at $12?
Im guessing when your a billionaire you have access to things like brokers etc... than aren't available to the common man and you can get SPECIAL things done right?
Why wouldn't he short CWN down to say $8/share, using say $2-$3million and than buy up another 3% at say $9.50, wouldn't that save him more $$ than just buying at $12??
