StockMarketWire.com - South East Asia-focused gold exploration company Triple Plate Junction has signed a joint venture agreement with ASX-listed Newcrest Mining in relation to the Manus Island JV in Papua New Guinea.

TPJ says it now has joint ventures with three of the world's four largest gold miners.

Terms of the Newcrest deal are consistent with heads of agreement reported in September.

TPJ currently holds a 75.98% participating interest in the tenements in joint venture with Pacrim Energy and Golden Success.

Under the agreement Newcrest, which is manager of the project, may earn 80% of TPJ's participating interest by funding A$6m of project expenditure over the next five years.
