Yes the 1 pip tradIng is super frustrating and seems to cause more harm than good. The TSX Venture's biggest problem is the highly skilled Shorting Shops that gang up on stocks. Just like Aussies have to deal with an 800 lb gorilla like China, Canada has the USA. Biggest difference is that Cda/USA are much more integrated regarding markets. Tsx venture benefits much more from US Retail investors than Australia will ever have with China. Hence, better liquidity. Average VIX per stock much higher on the venture I would guess.
