    That's actually not quite correct
It was Bushmills that was labeled by the N Irish. Made in Co Antrim i believe. Jaimeson is South Ireland
I was actually in a pub on the Falls Road in Belfast, during the time of the 'troubles' - asked for a whiskey - Bushmills - the somewhat perplexed barman, by my English accent in this quite dangerous area, told me very slowly and threateningly - 'we ...don't ... serve ...the ....protestant ... whiskey ....here'.
I pointed to a bottle of Bush on the shelf......the barman looked and then shouted out - 'WHO BROUGHT THE PROTESTANT WHISKEY IN HERE ???? '
Then they all had a ruck.
Fact was the bottle was half full anyway - but ended up a great night, the locals were impressed i had the 'bottle' to go in there, had a great night - and i did learn a great deal about recent Irish history - from their perspective.

True story...but thanks to all my mt Irish friends and colleagues, North and South - Ireland is too small and too much fun to fight about
