Agree with one point you make. Anns need to be understood by non geos.
The following may assist as a simplified explanation. The - - - lines in the diagrams below represent fault splays.
Fault splays are also called 'rivers of gold' as they can be conduits for mobilised gold. The most significant of these fault splays is the Main Lode, the historical Youanmi mine. These fault splays are the primary control for gold mineralisation at Youanmi. Over millions of years with more faulting displacement can occur where parts of the original gold deposit is moved. A gold deposit may be elusive in these geological circumstances. It may continue on the other side of a fault or it may have been moved hundreds of metres away.
Paddy's Lode is considered to be part of the Main Lode gold deposit that has been moved or offset by 200m. It is referred to as the southern offset of the Main Lode. Evidence for this is the fault and that Paddy's has a similar width and grades to the Main Lode.
So far Rox has identified a strike length of 200m and a width of 3 - 8m. The Youanmi Main Lode had a width between 1m and 25m so we can expect a lot of variation in Paddy's Lode but it's an exciting new discovery with game changing potential.
Fo those who haven't watched it a link to Rox's presentation at the RSS conference is at the bottom of this post.
