DD rigs are accompanied by a geo, that's one reason why DD drilling is so expensive.
Every core from the rig is examined by a geo and I have no doubt that Travis Craig along with Rob Ryan looked closely at the pending cores that showed signs of visible gold.
After those cores went off to the lab Rob Ryan made a series of very bullish statements across various media and most importantly to industry professionals at Youanmi.
It's obvious that they saw visible gold in those cores and they were confident enough to put their reputations on the line. But ASX companies are advised (but not compelled) by the ASX to wait for assays rather than announce visible gold.
Rox would be especially mindful of this after an embarrassing incident a couple of years ago under the old management where they announced visible gold in cores, sending the share price soaring.
The fire assay results did not live up to the announcement expectations and this was very damaging for Rox.
imo Rob Ryan and Travis Craig are confident the pending cores will show high grade gold with wide intersections continuing at a true width of 3 - 8m or better.
