I'd add to this and say as a general rule of thumb, without prior experience stay away from the following:
1) pre-revenue stocks
2) mining
3) bubbles/hype trends (ie BNPL)
Above all else, focus on the quality of management, the value proposition of the product and entering at a low entry price for minimal downside.
It's that simple....oh wait.
