The realquestion is, why do citizens need the #digitaleuro?

Electronic payment services are plentiful, efficient and effective.

The introduction of CESOP in 2024 gives the EU an incredible and vast array ofdata on the spending habits of its citizens.

Introduction of the Digital € in that context, despite the ECB stating to thecontrary, seems to benefit only one party - and that is the EU apparatus.

With the digital €, we are one step away from it being able to be programmed asto its use (yes, I know the ECB assures us otherwise, but it only takes onevirus or similar to erode all of our civil rights to nothing).

If its programmable, then ;

-it can expire or be 'expired' on demand
-it can be transferred without the holders consent, in whole or part - to thegovernment or a 3rd party
-it can be restricted as to its use, including limits on spend and where
-it will be monitored in every way, making CESOP look like amateur hour.

This is likely why the EU wants the digital € - total control.

The presentations Ive seen from the ECB do little to address how the above willbe safeguarded against occurring.

Members of thedigital euro Rulebook Development Group (RDG) met at our headquarters inFrankfurt yesterday to reflect on the progress made in defining a digital euroscheme.

The scheme will consist of a single set of rules to standardise digital europayments across the euro area. Group members – representing consumers,merchants and intermediaries – participated in an engaging discussion on thestatus of the scheme and next steps.
