Maybe I have this wrong, but I am beginning to suspect, reading inbetween the lines, that you have a suspicion that bailouts don't work. ROFLMAF :))))))
If shares have fallen this low after a bailout....I'd hate to think what the case would have been without one.
Last night's Dow fall may have been a pump and dump exercise as shorting was re-introduced. Up at the beginning, down at the end.
Shorting.... has been allowed here for BHP for the duration of the Australian ban (which, I believe, remains indefinite for Australian stocks apart from dual-listed). Yet Of the 3.6 million or so borrowed BHP shares when the ban was introduced, only 900,000 or so remain....
Cross-trades....from $29.74 to $31.74.
