This has been the same response on the Phillips progress in the June 2020 quarterly update and Sep 2020 quarterly update

"The PainChek and Philips European based research study plan is still delayed due to the COVID 19 impact in the Netherlands. The focus of the study is around combining PainChek facial pain indicators with other classic patient vital sign measures to pre-actively assess the risk of delirium for a patient in hospital care.

Communications between the two parties are around the fit of PainChek pain assessment technology within the Philips vital signs monitoring platform and their global pain management strategy continues and is expected to progress. The collective aim of the parties’ is to progress and finalize these collaborations so that they are ready to jointly execute immediately following the easing of COVID-19 related measures."

Covid has not eased in Europe. It has accelerated and even after the vaccine, it would take another 6 months before the government is confident that the vaccine is working.

I make the conservative assumption of working with Philips to happen at the end of this year because nothing can be done with the virus moving across Europe. The trial itself would take 6 months to complete and then you have 6 months of negotiations between Philips and Painchek to determine pricing, contract terms etc... If you add it up, the most hopeful outcome is 2 years from now. Hence, to me, Philips is the cherry on top, it is not the main course at this stage. That's why you see them now working with Ramsay as it is much quicker to implement than Philips. Ramsay has hospitals in Australia.
