The uptake here always has been slow despite the government grant and nurse are familiar and trained in APS, hence Painchek doesn't offer enough of a point of difference with what they are already doing because Painchek doesn't detect pain objectively if it did then this is a no brainer.....IMO. Government need to spend more on the number of carers but more importantly screen for better carers, it's as simple as that otherwise what the point of using Painchek with these same carers, they will be just doing what they are currently doing with those 5 out of 5 manual assessments.
