Tencent is also an investor in Didi Chuxing (or Didi Kuaidi), Uber's rival in China, which Didi dominates the Chinese market with 70% of ride sharing. Alibaba Group and Apple Inc are also investors.

What makes WeChat ahead of others including Facebook, is the app is a one app does all, with Didi Chuxing or order taxi ability on the platform with money transfer etc.
