Strike that's not quite correct, there was a stage that a "strong rumour" was floating around about PDN. I am aware that certain large shareholders were contacted by their brokers to ascertain whether they had been approached to or whether they "knew anything".
This was months and months ago when GE made it's initial declarable substantial share holding of PDN. I believe it was that action by GE alone that caused someone to generate or postulate that GE was instigating a takeover by taking a large position.
