What the petition is seeking - a dismissal - is a very disproportionate penalty and very unreasonable for the 'crime' of wearing the badges. Unless this is a repeated 'offence' with a continues disregard of Qantas management's instructions, one shouldn't lose one's job over it.
It reminds me of the Israel's response to the events of 7 October.
The punishment for what had transpired on 7 October is a total distraction of 3/4 of the Gaza Strip obviously including all infrastructure needed to sustain life there, as well as the killing of over 24,000 civilians including innocent women and children.
