    (taking drinking and irrigation from the Sea of Galilee to south)

    About 5700 years ago the Egyptians invaded and took Jews for slaves
    Moses brought them back

    He built the temple on The Temple Mount
    close to where the golden dome of Al Aqsa mosque is.

    Looking north the western wall is a Hebrew holy place on the left.

    The Babylonians destryoed this temple about 3000 years ags.

    Australian Light Horse in 1917 defeated the Ottomans at Beersheba and other places.

    So confining your look to post 1948 is like saying the history of Australia was last week.

    It is a fascinating place. even in the desert you can see sign of long ago
