you make a challenging statement there trashy. so I read the article. a very well accredited journo with long experience reporting on Israeli/Gaza conflicts since 2000 and quite a fairly focused article.
how ever you missed one important point (at least one) ..... "they liaised with Hamas border officials and the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the Israeli Ministry of Defense unit that deals with civilian matters in the occupied Palestinian territories. ". https://newlinesmag.com/reportage/the-cost-of-leaving-gaza/
so I looked up COGAT:The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, known by its acronym COGAT, addresses a message to Gazan residents and Hamas leadership, lambasting Palestinian popular support for the terror group.
In a video statement, Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian, head of COGAT, says: “Kidnapping, abusing and murdering children, women and elderly people is not human. There is no justification for that. Hamas has turned into ISIS, and the residents of Gaza, instead of being appalled, are celebrating.
“Human animals must be treated as such. There will be no electricity and no water [in Gaza], there will only be destruction. You wanted hell, you will get hell.”
