Welcome back Albert - it's been quiet on AGO HC in the last few days; this could be a weakening of resolve or it could just be that everything that can be said has already been stated, re-stated, troll attacked and stated again. Some news is needed to inject some energy back. Nothing has been said which indicates the paltry offer is anything other than the actions of corporate bullying, supported by timid acquiescence from a small number of over promoted weaklings with their snouts in the trough. What they are doing might well be legal but it is also morally bankrupt.
Small shareholders across many ASX companies are starting to stand up to their boards - there are way too many directors taking obscene salaries and contributing nothing. Shareholding in Australia is no longer a rich mans game: we have been encouraged to invest a proportion of our life savings in these companies.
Unfortunately AGO don't have anyone of the caliber of Andrew Forrest or Nev Power at the helm - but those that are in charge have a duty to work for the benefit of vulnerable shareholders - if they don't they should be replaced.
There is simply no credible reason to vote yes: if you agree with the offer, sell out and buy MIN shares and best of luck to you.
If you want to achieve true value, vote NO, be patient and appoint a board of directors who are interested in making the most of AGO (i.e. OUR) assets.
