dangar: Do you really believe that SHELL will (and legally can?) keep the results of the drill kind of "hidden" for a full six months period after the end of the drill? Doubt this very much indeed. After the end of the drill, perhaps an extended evaluation period of up to two months can still be justified but then either positive or negative results will (at least IMHO) have to be posted.
An extended evaluation period would mean that they found something and just have to see if (or how much) commercially viable it is. The worst case scenario is an early announcement, stating they found nothing. (As has happend for instance with CHAR.L and the Nimrod drill off-shore Namibia, not too long ago).
As mentioned, all JIMHO, of course.
