My "sedate" enthusiasm is due to the run up from below range trading near 28 to 66.
When you back out the cash from that you've had a near trebbling of the EV in a couple of short months. The July 010 WTI which I have nominally been focussing on has changed very little, in fact in AUD has dropped significantly over this time!
Sure this well augurs well for CVN growth, but you don't want to buy a stock with the growth already in the sp (which with CVN much now is).
Another ground for sedation would be the implied value of POE's 60% vs our 40% which would suggest aussie exuberance.
Hey, as a company, doing what oilers are supposed to, I rate CVN highest of the ASX (excluding the multi-$b leaders), and CVN still represents the majority of my oil (not gas) investment. The story is great, but is the sp surging ahead a bit far for now?
