    The Takeovers Panel has made a declaration of unacceptable circumstances in relation to applications by Keybridge Capital and Molopo Energy.

    Further consideration is being given to an application from Aurora Funds Management.

    The pair owns a controlling stake in Molopo, and unsuccessfully attempted to put their own nominees on the board, but the panel found the two parties had numerous links and had teamed up in a bid to secure control of Molopo's $67 million in cash at the urging of Nicholas Bolton.

    As a result by October 2016 they had contravened Section 6064 of the Corporations Act and the substantial holder notice provisions.""
