    Hi Mumof3,

Can totally relate to you......my first mother of all major panic attack happened about 8 years ago.
The most frightening thing I have ever experienced.
One minute I was fine the next all your symptoms plus felt like I was being pulled out of my body.

It was so bad I had to call an ambulance. (not in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would do that)

I thought I was having a heart attack, due to my high blood pressure.. but no pain just mental pain I guess is the best way to describe it....and then the mind goes in over drive thinking it could be this, it could be that.

Ambulance came, me sobbing while trying to breath. They were fantastic...took an Ecg...no Heart attack.
Said it was a big panic attack, and asked if I had any sedatives, I pointed to a cupboard and he got them. He said they were about to expire so to get some more from the doctors. ( had only taken about 3 in less than 2 years.
They stayed with me for at least half an hour, reassuring me.
I ended up taking another tablet (lorazepam)....it took about a hour to work but when it did...WOW what a relief.

To cut long story short...went to docs then specialists...everthing ok...they did not what me on SSRI and now I take one ativan per day. Have been one that now for 8 years and always have a tablet in my bag.
You will also learn to feel the onset of one with practice, like for me its the adrenalin crawling up my legs, that's my first hint.

I then take slow deep breaths, meditate.....if all fails I say stuff you and take a tab....I want to enjoy life, not spend my whole day walking on egg shells.

Coffee was a big help when I gave it up.

Go see you doc... one you can trust and check out your options.
Also my B/p medication causes anxiety.

Wishing you the best and let us know how you go.
