"DIVERSE farm services company, Elders Limited says it is looking to expand again after last year's drastic internal financial shake up.

Elders Ltd has just taken full ownership of the Killara feedlot near Quirindi in northern NSW, after last week acquiring a 46.75 per cent stake previously held by Taiwan Sugar Corporation.


Elders, which also owns the 20,000 head-capacity Charlton feedlot in north western Victoria, already held the other 53.25pc stake in the 20,000 head Liverpool Plains feedlot.


Managing director, Malcolm Jackman, said the purchase highlighted that Elders was "back on the front foot" after last year's recapitalisation blitz dragged the company "out of the grip of a death throe".
