Its quite simple really. You are right wombat in saying it is illogical for the directors to sell now, unless of course they think the price is heading south.
You are incorrect about 2 things James. Sciano has not sold a "small percentage" he has sold 27.5% of his holding (up until 31 oct - may be more now). Also, his motives were not related to filling the company coffers as in that case he would have exercised all the options (he exercised 4.6 mill and sold 2 million options, and sold another 3 million shares approx.) Its all spelt out in the anns if you care to look at them closely
