You should never look at the total buy/sell amounts, that will give you a false indication on what the market is doing. Why you ask? well quite simple really, a lot of the buy/sell orders could be placed at a price that is virtually unachievable to be traded today.
A good indication is the first 5 lines. Most times "fake" bids will not be apart of these lines unless an accumulator is stacking a certain line (normally a resistance or support line)
First 5 have an ratio of about 2(buys) : 1(sell), less than the overall picture most will envision and believe in (2.5:1). As you can see from the image below the 5, 10 and overall line breakdown. It shows there is a further 6.3million units that wish to be purchased from 0.190 and below, which is almost what is on offer in the first 10 lines. Then on the sell side there is only 2million for sale above 0.295.
Don't believe the overall count, otherwise you'll be fooled into thinking what others wish you to think.
