Because there was a sell of un energy stocks in UK and USA but, more importantly, a substantial sell of in Canada, in the context of:

1. a very substantial drop in oil prices;
2. Bernanke delivering a speech directly focusing on stalled economic groth;
3. a report as to reduced oil consumption, in the short to 2-3 year time frame.

Hold steady IMO. The quarterly announcement should show a record profit and, although there are structual changes afoot, good oil companies, and CVN is a goodl oil junior, tend to perserve such conditions.
