Now just double the POG and reduce the cost of production and we have a comparative. Then we add in the 10,000 JORC already established and we are looking at about a 2 year increment to the LOM.

Anyone have thoughts on my method there?

I like your approach and I think you will be somewhere near the mark. Only problem I can see is that some of the better gold is more than 50m below the pit floor. Still have to dig a big hole to get at the three sections.
From memory, the production cost/oz at Halley's East was less than $700 so that will take a bit to beat.
