A while back I read a Korean study of OA of the knee. What distinguished it from other studies was its taking MRIs for a whole population cohort, not just those with OA or pain.
It concluded that bmls can be found in most knees middle-aged and older, not just ones where pain is detected. They speculated that it is often untreated bmls that cause OA in the first place.
So the potential market is even greater than the 66% of those diagnosed with OA.
