I'm a bit the same as you. No cartilage and BML's were very obvious on my pre-trial MRI. Pain was a given.
Next month I formally finish my participation in the 008 trial. I am super keen to find out whether I was given any of the magic juice or not and how that relates to where I'm at now, twelve months on.
