I've been trying to dig up some info on the fact that the Europeans have been using injectables (of PPS) so they must have reported some evidence of other benefits like less joint pain/reduction in other inflammatory symptoms in other indications, but there doesn't seem to be much around? This is also a mystery - if they have been using PPS in injectable format why didn't someone else pick up on this and decide to go whole-hog and produce it commercially, or at least obtain supply from Bene? Maybe they hadn't investigated the results properly and it was too much effort to set up clinical trials and go down that pathway with the millions that it costs? More than cost it is prob. they just didn't see the results at scale and only concentrated on fixing the IC specially a number of years ago? Ghosh came around and quickly patented it's application and it was done.
