My cat is on 1 injection a week for 4 weeks. Repeat every quarter. My vet will also give a single injection once a month on top of that if I think it’s warranted. I think it was $30/shot. Has made a huge difference for him.
I looked at that and thought, I’m a large mammal, why can’t I get onto that? Toyed with the idea of having my daughter claim me as her pet but she was having none of that. Then I found a sports med doctor willing to treat me off label.
My schedule was 2x/week for six weeks. Excellent outcome for my lumbar OA. It is now 9 months since my first course and symptoms have just started to reappear. This is in line with PARs knee studies. I’ve lined up my second course and will be proposing to my doc a 6 month interval would give good coverage.
