Sorry that it didn't work for you Leroy and that you had to go down the replacement path. At least as you say you are still better off than before the surgery.
I had a similar experience re: travel time, inconvenience, etc but what I was getting at was not related to trial participants but those that come after us.
If it works for you and all you have had to do was be injected or self-inject those 12 times, then for those people it's not onerous at all. They may even be lucky enough to get 18-24 months or more benefit.
