That's fine, but it's meaningless. It's like saying I successfully attended the exam.
All it says is they were there, and they talked to people. That's not a high bar to set. I don't expect any more from them, but to make a statement (with exclamation mark) that it was a successful mission invites more questions, and they should be prepared to answer them.
