I know it's often thought that a takeover, of any company, doesn't give shareholders the return they hoped for, as long term, with Para commercializing Zilosul, for us shareholders, that would be best case scenario for us all.
However, IF there was a takeover offer that was accepted post phase 3, how is that calculated, and what are the hypothetical share prices upon buy out?
Paul Rennie may want to see this through all the way, as that's why the CR was done, to fund the phase 3 trial. It would have been a much easier path to sell out post phase 2b. Many companies do. He didn't. Not too sure he'd be willing to let this baby go, even after phase three is done and dusted.
A partnership is the most probable path (IMO), as commercialization is darn expensive. Of course, with phase 3 successful, and with a partnership in place, the share price would go...WHOOSHKA!
The takeover scares me. Yeah, we'd be well compensated far above and beyond what the current share price sits at, but would we always wonder...what coulda been?
