Indeed most or all of these alternative products could fruitfully be used in conjunction with PPS because they act on independent pathways. For example, I treat my cat with PPS and also with Solensia, a feline monoclonal antibody developed for arthritis that targets the NGF pathway. He gets the benefit of multimodal pain relief from both drugs, as well as PPS’s disease modification effects. If I had pentosan and other options open to me I would certainly consider combination therapy.
