Self administering, I find it’s best if I inject quite slowly. There is a bit of volume that the tissue has to accomodate so I inject slowly so as to allow the liquid to diffuse, rather than stretching the tissue. There’s a bit of a sting but it’s no big deal.
The shots can leave some quite spectacular bruises. Pentosan is an anticlotting agent 1/10th as strong as heparin. So any little broken capillary just bleeds. Looks great - very colourful!
