As per the cross section below, PB2 sits close to a deep fault. Actually its on a raised block.
With depth, the weight of the drill string increases (with each d/pipe, d/collar etc), & if they go flat out with drilling, chances of deviating are higher.
Generally 3-6 degrees is ok & can b controlled by slowing the drill rate. Thats what they meant this morn'n, so no surprises. At times drilling close to a major fault (just imagine a crack) could result in fluid losses etc, hence my concern. They'll b casing this section 2b on the safe side, later on IMO.
