CVI are a more credible company than GDN though IMO less so than BUR.
The similarity with GDN I was drawing had more to do with its hotcopper presence: The large number of participants (the CVI "community"; the nature of the posting (humour, heated discussion etc; the heavily discussed angst at the falling SP (on a "sure thing"), the passions it aroused etc
BUR does not have anywhere near as much fun discussion and many days only has a few posts - much more boring.
I don't know enough about CVI to really have a strong opinion though it certainly has a lot of hype on HC
