Real estate agents have been going overseas to China and selling Australia for years.
There was a program on the ABC many years about this for Tasmanian farm land that could not be sold to buyers in Australia. Chinese think longer term and get on with business.
The media played on the sentiment of the Aussie farmer who could not survive on his land and could not find any buyers. Then the real estate agent who went overseas to sell farmland to capitalist China. Everyone is happy - the farmer gets money from capitalist China and they get our farm land forever. Australia is so naive.
