If the company does a CR before a "deal" (MPS, regional OA, heck even the touted $5M for a container of the stuff to the American GI's for Chik) - then it means we are all "Long and wrong". Blind freddy would see the best way to preserve the ability to raise capital in markets is to do a deal first.
A CR is a certain red flag and would trigger many into capital preservation.
